Calm.

“As the sun peaked through the last of the clouds before disappearing over the hill, my kayak slowly pushed through the flat glass-like water.  The sound of spring time birds echoed through the lake valley, I heard water droplets dripping off my oar and the occasion fish jumping splash in the distance.  A slight damp breeze blew in my face and the smell of blossoming trees and flowers filled my nostrils.  All alone, my hands firm on the oar hesitant to paddle, hesitant to cast a line.  It’s calm.  I took one last deep breath soaking in God’s beautiful creations before continuing on my way.”
